How is AI really changing software development right now? That was exactly the question we explored at our “AI meets Software Engineering” event – together with arconsis, an established software company based in Karlsruhe. In a deliberately curated setting, we brought together experienced tech decision-makers: CTOs, heads of development, architects and lead developers who don’t just talk about AI, but want to embed it structurally into their organizations.
No buzzword bingo, no pure tool showcase – just honest exchange between the pressure to innovate and enterprise reality. In talks and at interactive live-demo stations, we showed where things are heading: from copilots to real agents. On display: Cursor agents in the frontend workflow, the orchestration of Claude Code agents, and an agent harness for safe use in the enterprise environment.

What made it special was the combination of two perspectives: arconsis’s deep enterprise experience from countless projects, and our hands-on, forward-looking approaches. Together we demonstrated that AI can already be used productively in real project settings today – in a predictable, secure and scalable way. Not in an experiment, but at enterprise scale.

The most exciting question from the discussions: what will make a good developer in the future? Our answer – not whoever writes code the fastest, but whoever understands, steers and meaningfully applies systems. Less typing, more orchestration, more architecture, more responsibility for the “how.” AI doesn’t replace developers, but it changes who stays truly relevant. Thanks to everyone who joined us – for the open discussions and the honest look beyond the hype.
