About Us
At TAISC – The AI Software Company, we believe that AI-powered software development is essential for driving digital transformation in businesses. Software is the backbone of our digital world — and often a bottleneck. We consult, build, and implement individually tailored AI solutions — from strategic advisory through AI automations, MVP/prototyping, all the way to custom development. Not to replace people, but as a tool to empower them and boost their productivity. We work with cutting-edge technologies, deep domain expertise, and a genuine hands-on mentality. We value clarity over buzzwords and genuine collaboration — with enterprises, mid-market companies, and startups alike. We’re growing fast.
Your Role — more than a developer
A Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) is not a classic developer working tickets to spec. You sit close to the client, understand the real business problem, and build the solution end-to-end — directly in the client’s codebase and reality. You think from the outcome backward: what drives real business impact, what’s just nice-to-have? You combine software engineering with product thinking and take ownership of the result — not just the code.
Concretely, you design, build, and ship modern AI systems, agent workflows, and MVPs into production — from architecture to deployment. You won’t develop software “classically” — you’ll develop it AI-first, using tools like Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI, and Azure AI Foundry plus modern frameworks and cloud stacks daily to ship features faster, cleaner, and smarter. What matters to us: we’re not looking for vibe-coders, but real software engineers who think structurally, write clean code, understand software architecture, and take ownership of quality, security, and maintainability. You ideally bring practical project experience, a GitHub profile, portfolio, or references, and want to use AI not as a toy but as a serious productivity and technology driver.
What to Expect
- You work close to the client — understand the problem, design the solution, and build it yourself.
- You build AI agents, workflows & automations that solve real problems.
- AI is your daily tool across every phase of development — you use it deliberately, but think for yourself, question results critically, and own the outcome.
- You build MVPs, features, and automations — fast, clean, creative — and take ownership of features or sub-products.
- You bring in your own ideas: internal tools, open-source contributions, experiments, content.
- You learn cloud architecture, RAG setups, agent orchestration & DevOps basics.
What You Bring
- You’re pursuing a technical Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (computer science, business informatics, media informatics, software/AI engineering, or similar).
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, LLMs, agents, and modern tools: you use AI as a deliberate extension of your own skills — not a replacement for them.
- First experience or projects in modern full-stack cloud-native development (Python, TypeScript, React/NextJS, AWS/Azure).
- You like to try things beyond your studies — side projects, open-source contributions, or a first venture. (Not a must, but we love to see what you’ve built.)
- A hands-on mentality: you try things out instead of debating for ages.
- You want to grow and help shape the future of the software industry in Germany.
What We Offer
- Direct collaboration with the founders: regular feedback, sparring, and pair programming.
- Modern tools (Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Perplexity) and Apple hardware.
- A lot of freedom, plenty of room for your own ideas, and a steep learning curve.
- An environment where you can grow within months, not years.
- Working in an AI-first company that doesn’t just talk about AI but uses it every day.
- We mostly work together in Karlsruhe (around 3 days per week). Until our own office is ready, we combine on-site and flexible remote work.
